My discovery started with this strange little quiz....

I had always believed, "Losing weight is, in theory, simple." 

That was when I was young, confident, full of energy, and dare I say "sexy."

When I got older, "believing" doesn't make it easy. 

Women, in particular, are always trying, or at the very least wishing, to lose a few pounds.

My proof is a bookshelf full of old and recent books such as Atkins, The Zone, and Keto.

A cabinet is full of different reality-TV star bikini blitz workout DVDs.

A stack of magazines featuring the latest celebrity success stories lay by my bed.

But only if it were as easy as it appears on paper or explained on TV.

I guess a multibillion-dollar industry wouldn't exist without people like me.

You know what I mean.

There's Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, and other programs. 

I admit. I bought those programs too.

And the truth is, none of these really worked for me. Temporary success, then it all came back and more.

Like many, my weight has fluctuated over my adult life. 

Not long ago, I was probably the biggest and heaviest I'd ever been. 

I felt sluggish, didn't fit into any of my clothes, and definitely didn't want to go out shopping.

Now, there's nothing wrong with gaining a few pounds if you're still happy and confident.

But I wasn't, at least not anymore. 

I let the weight creep up over the years, as it so often does. 

But as I reached past my 40's, I have gone through too many programs to know it's not just about food restriction.

I also know it's not about extreme and intense exercise. 25 years ago, "yes." Today, "not gonna do it."

Was this a reflection of the fact that I wasn't looking after myself?

These big industry companies want me and everyone to believe this. 

"It's your fault, do this do that," but I do eat mostly healthy and do remain active.

But, now I know it's not my fault!

One day I was on Facebook. There was a post about a weird "5-Second Water Hack" and how it helped many people just like me.

I clicked on the link and discovered a story about people on a tiny Malaysian island.

And how it led to finding a scientific discovery in early 2019 of a link between EDCs and obesity.

So powerful was this discovery, it completely transformed my life.

Was I skeptical at first? Of course! But I listened attentively and am so glad that I did not tune away (the video is a bit long.)

I asked one of girlfriends what they thought about this and was pleased to hear it was her "secret" to feeling healthy again.

I am genuinely grateful that this was exactly what my body, mind, and heart needed.

Now, I look and feel younger, am full of energy, and dare I say it, "my husband thinks I'm sexy again!"

The great news is, now it's your turn.
